On April 17, 2013, investigators with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrived at 209 Mosley Lane, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, the residence of Zanda Brock, 55, and her boyfriend Steven Downing, 49, in reference to complaints of methamphetamines being manufactured at this residence. While speaking with Brock, investigators observed items associated with the “Shake and Bake” method of manufacturing methamphetamines.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence and investigators located three active “Shake and Bake” cook vessels containing a trafficking weight (over 200 grams) of methamphetamine. Investigators also located chemicals used in the methamphetamine manufacturing process, smoking devices, and digital scales.
Both Brock and Downing were at the residence when the search warrant was executed. Subsequently, the two were placed under arrest and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine (2nd Degree Felony), Trafficking in Methamphetamine (1st Degree Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1st Degree Misdemeanor).
Brock and Downing were transported and booked into the Walton County Department of Corrections.
