applicants with any questions regarding employment with the
Walton County Sheriff's Office.
Hiring Process:
Before appointment to any position with the Walton County
Sheriff's Office, applicants must successfully complete multiple
steps in the hiring process, which can take 4 - 8 weeks
depending upon the position.
Civilian Support Opportunities:
While the primary function of the Sheriff's Office is law
enforcement, some of the agency positions are staffed by
civilian support personnel. Qualifications for civilian support

positions.

- Driver's License
- High School Diploma, GED or college transcripts
- Proof of registration for selective services (male applicants)
- CJSTC Certificate or Letter of Passing Score on State Exam
- DD214, Member Copy 4
- Any documents of name change (marriage certificate, name change
decree, divorce decree)
Non-sworn applicants must submit the following documents with
their notarized application:
