Basic Civilian Firearms Courses

altThe Basic Civilian Firearms Safety Program is held multiple times per year and is a six hour course that details the basic safety and shooting fundamentals for most handguns. It is generally held on Saturdays and is instructed by the WCSO Training section. Completion of the course allows the participants to apply for their concealed carry permit. Those packets are provided to course attendees. Participants should bring 50 rounds of ammunition for their weapon. Firearms can be provided by the the WCSO to attendees so that they can make an educated decision before they buy. If you need to use one of our handguns please make contact with Sergeant Jordan prior to class so arrangements can be made.

Cost of the program is $50 and you must pre-register by using our secure online registration form. You may also email Sergeant Johnny Jordan ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

Note: Class seats are only guaranteed AFTER payment has been received. The class registration fee is non-refundable. If WCSO must cancel a class, your registration will be moved to the next available class. No refunds or transfers will be given due to failed attendance or cancellation by the registrant.
