Walton County Sheriff's Office -- Report Requests

Many of the reports and records maintained by the Sheriff's Office are considered "public record" as defined by the Florida Statutes. You have the ability to request a copy of an incident report, accident report, arrest report, or homicide report simply by filling out the following form or visiting the Main Administration Building in DeFuniak Springs and make your request in person. Please understand that due to the amount of pages that may be printed and the cost of paper and ink, the cost of printing these reports are passed on to the requestor.

The fees for each report is designated below:

General Incident	$0.15 per page
Arrests	$0.15 per page
Accidents	$2.00 per report
Homicide	$25.00 per report
Cassette Tapes	$2.00 per tape
Compact Discs	$2.00 per disc
Apply "Certified Copy Seal" to any report	$1.00 per page

These fees must be paid PRIOR to receiving your copy of the report. Payments can be made by either:

Mail: Send a personal check or money order, (NO CASH) to:
                    Walton County Sheriff's Office
                    ATTN: Records Department
                    72 North Sixth Street
                    DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433

Be sure to note on the check or money order the name & phone number that was submitted on the online request form.
In Person: Bring a personal check, money order, or cash to the Main Administration Building.
Credit Card: Currently, credit cards are NOT being accepted as a form of payment.
